Star, a twelfth-grade student at Woodinville High School, part of the Northshore School District in Washington state, had struggled for years to build reading fluency and had difficulty with comprehension. As a result, Star did not enjoy reading. She began her senior year reading well below grade level, but used Reading Plus to gain five grade levels in less than one school year.
