eINSTRUCTION’S CLASSROOM MAKEOVER VIDEO CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED, $75,000 PRIZE PACKAGES INCLUDE READING PLUS® AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY
Reading Plus®, the premier web-based silent reading intervention, congratulates the three outstanding grand prize winners of eInstruction’s 2010 Classroom Makeover Video Contest. eInstruction announced the prize-winning videos today.
This year’s contest attracted hundreds of video submissions from around the world. Entrants were required to submit “short, creative music videos demonstrating how they would use technology to enhance their learning experience in the classroom.” Winners were selected by a panel of judges and more than 50,000 votes cast at the contest’s website.
Grand prize winners will receive classroom technology makeovers valued at up to $75,000 each. Prize packages include the award-winning Reading Plus® system (three years of full access and support) as well as other educational technology and software.

  • “The Room Nine Kids: I Wanna Class Makeover” - Tammy Dunbar’s class, Lincoln Elementary, Manteca, California (grade K-5 category)
  • “When We Have Technology” -    Imarlys Cajigas’ Science Class,    WALKS Elementary School, Mayaguez, Puerto Rico (grade 6-8 category)
  • “eInstruction Is Forever” - Robert Goetsch’s Technology Class, Alief Taylor High School, Houston, Texas    (grade 9-12 category).
