Reading Plus®, the premier web-based silent reading intervention, today announced it has been awarded two prestigious Education Software Review Awards (EDDIEs) by the ComputED Gazette. Reading Plus® won EDDIEs in the categories of Multi-Level Reading Website and High School Reading Website.
EDDIE awards “target innovative and content-rich programs and websites that augment the classroom curriculum and improve teacher productivity, providing parents and teachers with the technology to foster educational excellence,” according to ComputED Gazette.
In its review of the Reading Plus® system, ComputED Gazette said the product is “a leading contender in the ‘must have’ category for schools this year,” and highlighted the system’s “flawlessly designed website.”
The ComputED Gazette review of Reading Plus® concludes, “Improving sustained silent reading may well be the single-most important answer to increasing reading fluency across the curriculum and across the country, raising test scores, graduation rates, and post-secondary attendance. The ComputED Gazette recommends that educators take a good, long look at Reading Plus.”
