Published by Charles C Thomas Ltd., Exploring Silent Reading Fluency describes how online reading development and practice are an effective means of remediating and enhancing silent reading skills in readers of all abilities. In his book, Mr. Taylor discusses the visual, perceptual, and information processing skills needed for proficient reading, and presents compelling data to support the use of online technology to develop those skills in students of all ages.
Mr. Taylor is a pioneer in the introduction and use of reading technology in the classroom. He has designed, manufactured, and produced a variety of reading improvement devices over the years. He is the author of numerous published articles about reading and reading technology. His current volume includes chapters co-authored by leading reading experts S. Jay Samuels, Ed.D., University of Minnesota, and Timothy Rasinski, Ph.D., Kent State University.
